Today, Congressman David G. Valadao (CA-22) released the following statement after voting in support of a 45-day Continuing Resolution (CR) to keep the government open while the House and Senate continue their work on Appropriations Bills. The CR included a supplemental appropriation of $16 billion for the Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Relief Fund, which was expected to run out of funding. The Continuing Resolution passed with widespread bipartisan support.

Congressman Valadao voted no on the FY24 Agriculture, FDA, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill.

Congressman David G. Valadao (CA-22) joined Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) to introduce the Conrad State 30 and Physician Access Reauthorization Act of 2023. The legislation reauthorizes and modifies the Conrad 30 Program, which allows foreign doctors studying in the United States to obtain a visa following medical residency if they practice in a medically-underserved area for at least three years.
