Res. 27, a joint resolution of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act that would overturn the Biden administration’s final Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. The Biden administration’s WOTUS rule expands the federal government’s jurisdiction over America’s waterways under the Clean Water Act. Today, Congressman David G. Valadao (CA-22) introduced the Determination of NEPA Adequacy Streamlining Act. This bill would streamline the approval process for energy production by allowing the Secretaries of the Interior and Agriculture to use previously conducted Environmental Assessments or Environmental Impact Statements under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for the approval of projects with similar environmental impacts.

Congressman David G. Valadao (CA-22) released the following statement in response to the Bureau of Reclamation’s (Reclamation) initial 2023 water allocation announcement for Central Valley Project (CVP) contractors. Reclamation announced an initial allocation of 35% for South-of-Delta agricultural repayment and water service contractors. They also announced an initial allocation for Municipal and Industrial repayment and water service contractors of 75% of their historic use.
