Today, the House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) with Congressman David Valadao’s support. The FY24 NDAA authorizes funding for all discretionary military programs and activities – including personnel, operations, maintenance, procurement, research, and development. It also outlines critical policies and directives for the Department of Defense (DoD).
WASHINGTON – Today, the House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) with Congressman David Valadao’s support. The FY24 NDAA authorizes funding for all discretionary military programs and activities – including personnel, operations, maintenance, procurement, research, and development. It also outlines critical policies and directives for the Department of Defense (DoD). “Today I was proud to vote to give our troops the largest pay increase in 20 years and provide our military with the equipment, resources, and training needed to effectively protect the United States against our adversaries,” said Congressman Valadao. “Providing for our National defense has been a bipartisan effort for over 60 years. We still have work to do to get this bill across the finish line, and I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Senate to strengthen the FY24 NDAA through the conference process.” Among other provisions, the House passed version of the FY24 NDAA:
