We need solutions like the Ocean Shipping Reform Act to ease the bottlenecks that have resulted in lost revenue for our farmers and increased food prices across the country. I was glad to join the Problem Solvers Caucus to discuss bipartisan ways to strengthen supply chain security.
WASHINGTON – Yesterday, Congressman David G. Valadao joined the Problem Solvers Caucus in a roundtable with industry leaders on the ongoing supply chain crisis and the Ocean Shipping Reform Act. Rep. Valadao is a co-sponsor of the bipartisan Ocean Shipping Reform Act, which would implement new shipping regulations and reforms that will ensure fair trade and shipping practices between countries, as well as protect domestic exporters from punitive trade practices by global partners.
“I represent farmers that feed the world, and our agriculture economy has been hit hard by the ongoing supply chain crisis,” said Congressman Valadao. “We need solutions like the Ocean Shipping Reform Act to ease the bottlenecks that have resulted in lost revenue for our farmers and increased food prices across the country. I was glad to join the Problem Solvers Caucus to discuss bipartisan ways to strengthen supply chain security.”
