WASHINGTON – Tonight Congressman David G. Valadao (CA-22) released the following statement after attending President Biden’s State of the Union Address.

“There’s a lot of us who are willing to work with the President to solve the issues facing the American people. Unfortunately, the president delivered more divisive rhetoric tonight and failed to take accountability for the many problems Central Valley families are experiencing under his leadership – from the skyrocketing cost of energy to the fentanyl coming across our open border,” said Congressman Valadao. “We have a divided government, which means the American people wanted a check on Biden’s policies and one-party rule in Washington. I was glad to hear President Biden talk about his commitment to strengthening our supply chain, bringing manufacturing back to America, and ensuring our law enforcement have the resources and training they need to keep our communities safe. I will continue working across the aisle to get results for the Central Valley.”

Congressman Valadao brought Chad Hathaway as his guest to this year’s State of the Union Address, owner and founder of independent oil company Hathaway, LLC headquartered in Bakersfield, California to highlight the impact of President Biden’s energy policies on the Central Valley.
