Following President Barack Obama’s remarks at the 93rd State of the Union Address, U.S. Rep. David G. Valadao (CA-21) issued the following statement:

"Every State of the Union provides an opportunity for the President to present bold, new ideas for the American people. Unfortunately, the President missed the mark. The President reintroduced the same old, tired policies that were soundly rejected in the most recent mid-term elections.

America does not need more unfunded, politically-driven Washington schemes, they need a President who will work with Congress and overcome the monumental challenges facing our country. I remain committed to working with the President and my colleagues in the House and Senate, to find solutions to problems facing middle class Americans."

Congressman David G. Valadao represents the 21st Congressional District, which includes Kings County and portions of Fresno, Tulare, and Kern Counties.
