Congressman Valadao Releases Statement on Ryan/Murray Budget Agreement

Valadao (CA-21) released the following statement regarding the recent budget deal reached by House Budget Committee Chairman Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Senate Budget Committee Chairman Senator Patty Murray (D-WA).
Congressman Valadao stated, “While this budget agreement is not perfect, it is a step in the right direction. The deal responsibly reduces our national debt without increasing taxes on hardworking Americans. He continued, “Furthermore, this agreement is proof that both Chambers of Congress can come together through compromise to move our country forward.”
Congressman Valadao also joined with fellow members of the Congressional United Solutions Caucus, Congressmen David Joyce (R-OH), Patrick Murphy (D-FL), and Eric Swalwell (D-CA), in releasing a statement regarding the importance of compromise and bipartisanship to achieve what is best for their constituents, the American people.
