Kern County is one of the most productive agricultural regions in the world, and the seventh largest oil-producing county in the nation. Thanks to a little help from nature and a whole lot of hard work, Kern County quite literally feeds and fuels the nation, and much of the world.

As a dairy farmer, I’ve seen firsthand how rising costs, natural disasters, and global instability have impacted farming communities over the last few years. The needs of our farmers and rural communities have shifted, and so should Congress’ spending priorities. As we continue working on government funding for fiscal year 2024, we cannot leave our farmers and rural communities behind.

Congressman Valadao Statement on USMCA Dispute Panel’s Failure to Enforce USMCA

Congressman David G. Valadao (CA-22) released the following statement denouncing the recent ruling by a U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) dispute panel which allows Canadian restrictions on U.S. dairy farmer’s market access to continue. This follows the ongoing efforts of Rep. Valadao and his colleagues to ensure fair treatment of the U.S. dairy industry.
