As 2024 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to highlight some of the work my team and I have accomplished this year. It’s certainly been a very busy 12 months serving California’s 22nd Congressional District. Since I first came to Congress, my top priority has always been to try to make life easier for Central Valley families. While there is still much more work to be done, I’m proud of all that we’ve achieved on behalf of you, the constituent. Throughout this year, my team and I have engaged with thousands of residents, small businesses, and community groups from the Central Valley to ensure they have a seat at the table in Congress. I’m proud of the work we’ve done to assist constituents navigate federal agencies, advocate for legislation to improve the lives of Valley residents, and connect with so many in the community. This year, Team Valadao: - Returned $1,333,950 to Valley residents from federal agencies
- Resolved 383 cases assisting constituents navigate federal agencies
- Sent 15,586 responses to constituent inquiries
- Connected with 25,850 constituents in tele-town halls

As your representative in Congress, introducing and co-sponsoring legislation is an important tool to address the needs of Central Valley residents. This year I introduced 18 bills focused on some of the most important issues in our community, including strengthening Valley agriculture, improving services for our veterans, and combatting the rise in crime. I’ll continue working with my colleagues to advocate for commonsense solutions and represent the needs of all my constituents.
|
This year, I also co-sponsored 134 bills in collaboration with my colleagues in Washington. I’ll continue supporting commonsense legislation that helps CA-22. This year, I introduced several key pieces of legislation, including:

I have a dedicated team that work tirelessly to help constituents navigate the often frustrating and complicated process of dealing with federal agencies. This year, my office helped return over $1,300,000 million owed to constituents from agencies such as the IRS, the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs. We also provided support with processing numerous passports, visas, tax returns, and veterans benefits. Trying to get an answer from the federal government can often be a time-consuming and frustrating process. If you ever need help navigating a federal agency, you can visit my website here or call my Hanford office at (559) 460-6070. My team is ready to assist you!
|
This year, my office hosted 68 tours of the U.S. Capitol, welcoming more than 1,500 Valley residents and students to Washington, D.C. - including 4 Honor Flights for our local veterans. Meeting Valley families here in Washington is one of the best parts of my job, and it's been great meeting so many of you this year. If you are planning a trip to Washington, D.C. and are interested in touring the Capitol or White House, visit my website here or call my office at (202) 225-4695.

I’m committed to highlighting the Central Valley’s most critical needs in Washington. Our region plays a vital role in the nation’s success, and it’s essential that our concerns are heard. This year, I was proud to host 3 congressional field events in CA-22, bringing my colleagues from Washington to the Valley to address some of our most critical issues. - In May, I hosted a field hearing with the House Energy and Commerce Committee and Western Caucus to discuss rural broadband expansion and tour critical Valley industries.
- In August, the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee and I held a resource fair to hear from our local vets and to connect them with service organizations.
- In October, healthcare stakeholders around the Central Valley joined me and the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Health for a roundtable discussion.

This year, I connected with over 25,000 constituents during my telephone town halls. Every time I hold a tele-town hall, my office calls tens of thousands of households across CA-22 inviting residents to join and share their thoughts on the issues facing our community. These calls give me a chance to answer your questions directly and help me better represent you in Congress. Make sure to sign up for my weekly newsletter so you don’t miss my first town hall of 2025. Not able to join a town hall but still want to ask me a question? Visit my website and send me an email! I've responded to more than 15,000 constituents who wrote in this year on a wide range of issues. I look forward to continuing to address your concerns in the new year.

I’m truly honored and humbled by the trust the people of California's 22nd Congressional district have placed in me. 2024 has been a busy year, and there is still so much work left to be done, but I'm proud of all we've accomplished on behalf of the Valley. 2025 presents tremendous opportunities and I look forward to serving you in the new year.
While there is a lot to get done, I want to hear from you:
