Thank you to the first responders, utility workers, and Caltrans employees who have been working around the clock to keep people safe during this weekend's storms. The damage we are seeing across our district and the state of California is heartbreaking. I am grateful to the Biden administration for approving the emergency declaration for our state to make additional federal resources available to the communities impacted by these storms.
As we continue to assess the damage, I wanted to send an email update with additional resources on flood damage, evacuation centers, and how to stay safe as more rain is expected this week.
