Washignton, March 9, 2017 - WASHINGTON - Today, United States Congressman David G. Valadao (CA-21) released the following statement on the American Health Care Act, legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare:

“Our healthcare system was broken before Obamacare, but Obamacare made it even worse. Possession of an insurance card does not necessarily equate to access to quality healthcare, a reality my constituents grapple with every day. That's why we need to find a better solution."

"Our healthcare system is incredibly complex and any potential reforms must be thoughtfully considered. As I continue to review the recent proposal from House Republicans, ensuring my constituents have access to affordable, quality healthcare will remain my top priority.”

Congressman Valadao encourages all residents of California's 21st Congressional District to contact his office and share their healthcare concerns and priorities.

Congressman David G. Valadao represents the 21st Congressional District, which includes Kings County and portions of Fresno, Tulare, and Kern Counties.
