WASHINGTON – Congressman David G. Valadao (CA-21) is proud to promote Characters Unite Month with USA Network this February, continuing the Network’s award-winning, five-year public service campaign to combat hate and discrimination.

Along with other Members of Congress, Rep. Valadao will appear in a PSA campaign that aims to promote tolerance and acceptance by uniting against social injustice. The PSA campaign will also feature appearances by notable actors, athletes, and musicians.

“Bullying is an unfortunate and preventable reality of our society,”
says Rep. Valadao. “As a parent, it is important to me to be involved in my children’s lives and teach them the importance of understanding and respecting others. Through this campaign, I hope that USA Network and I are able to promote greater awareness about bullying throughout the Central Valley.”

Toby Graff, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, USA Network, states,
“This Characters Unite Month, and throughout the entire year, we are honored to use the power of media, across multiple platforms, to continue to shine a brighter spotlight on injustice and inequality and to inspire more people to become a force for positive change. We’re especially grateful to all of the amazing talent who has joined the Characters Unite movement.”
